Norsonic Tapping Machine

ACI provides expert advice for various architectural acoustic projects dealing with the reduction of sound transmission from space to space and the control of noise within specific spaces. The equipment used for this service include:

• Bruel & Kjaer Type 2250 Sound Level Meters with Building Acoustics Software which allows for Automated Reverberation Time (ART), Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Impact Insulation Class (IIC) testing.  In addition, clients are able to see their results immediately following testing. 
• Calibrated Noise Source Used for STC Testing
• Norsonic Tapping Machine Used for IIC Testing
• Commercial and Custom Analysis Software

All equipment conforms to all ASTM/ISO/ASHRAE Standards and is calibrated/certified annually.
